Godly counsel

Seeking and obtaining Godly friends is in turn, SUCH a blessing.

"Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble." Proverbs 13:20

The friends I have made in college continually amaze me with their ambition, studies, and in their walk with God. I think it is so beautiful the way we encourage one another to follow and walk in Truth.

Julia had mentioned a few weeks ago that she wanted us to start a Bible study when we got back to school, and we started today!

We talked a lot about forgiveness and accepting others even if they have wronged us. It was very eye opening to see all of the struggles that we each are going through, and how similar our problems are.

Lauren mentioned that forgiveness seems like such a difficult thing, but in reality, really isn't. We are called to love one another despite our differences, so at times we have to swallow our pride, get over ourselves, and forgive. We also talked about just how powerful prayer is, and that praying for those who have hurt us, reveals how big our faith is. Never-mind our problems and the people who have caused us pain; continually show His love through your actions, words, posts on social media... all aspects of your life, whatever it may be. I pray all the time for opportunities to share His love, Truth, and goodness; because after all, that is our purpose here. Our time on earth is fleeting, and Jesus said it best after being asked the greatest commands of the Law; "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment, and the second is like it: you shall love your neighbor as yourself" Matthew 22:35-39. Walking in Truth is really as simple as that. LOVE. Love God so that you may love yourself, and then you can love others as He does.

I am so beyond proud to call these women my friends. They are each so amazing, beautiful, strong, and Godly individuals. They are the kind of people I strive to be. Meeting them was so obviously planned by God, and I am forever thankful to Him for putting them in my life.
